November 18, 20214 yr Popular Post comment_275510 Gene, that looks really nice. So some of those hot winter days and now you have a shady spot to enjoy that lemonade. So proud of you to keep moving at your age. Keeps you living. Don't sit down. Report
November 18, 20214 yr Author Popular Post comment_275531 @Grandpadave52, glad you like our efforts. That shop is my neighbor's. Thanks for Ernie's video. One of my favorites. @lew, many thanks. @Cal, the birds love the fountain. It's truly an oasis for them. That fountain is an inverted large ceramic flower pot with it's bottom dish on the top. It's fed by a 35 gal. (Approx.)reservoir under it. To make the reservoir, we bought and, buried, a large plastic crate like thing with a lid. Then, put pool liner inside. That's where the pump is. We covered that with a permeable blanket to keep the silt out. It's not fed from the water supply but, the fountain's over spill goes back into the reservoir. We have to refill the reservoir about every two weeks in the summer. @Gunny, IMHO, the "sand box" is beyond hope. My god, how deep is the water? @FlGatorwood, Thanks. I imagine it'll be a few years before those Acacias and, Mesquites get big enough to provide much shade. But hey, I'm only 80, I can wait. Phyl is a youthful 76. She keeps me hopping. But, my hops are shorter and less frequent, nowadays. Report
