August 11, 20214 yr Popular Post Moved 6 plastic tubs of smalls into the shop, yesterday. Without any wall cabinets or shelves, finding places to put stuff is nigh onto impossible. We're supposed to pick up the DIL's old kitchen cabs tomorrow, though. Lordy, I didn't think I was a hoarder but, some of this extraneous crap shoulda been tossed before we moved! I already have a decent amount destined for Craigslist. Some inherited hand screw clamps from China, a set of Shopsmith panel clamps, a couple clamp on straight edges, a "Flat Sander" from Stockroom Supply and an over arm router, just to name a few.

Got done around 6:00 last evening, got picked up, and about 5-10 minutes later all he double hockey sticks broke loose, didn't even look like it was going to storm. Had 70+ MPH winds. Have a couple of large sections of a dead tree that came down to clean up. Just got internet back a few minutes ago. Have to wonder if yhpurM was a little mad about HIM not getting to help?
August 12, 20214 yr Popular Post Pulled all the pine straw off the garage roof and small awning at my Mother's house. About 3-4 inches thick. Soaked completely through once done.
August 12, 20214 yr Popular Post Got round to making the pics of the palm of what is left. Funny that the bark is in layers that will peel off and looks like burlap. Look at those roots. Was not too bad cutting with axe til it dried out and like iron on a rubber pad now. Ok maybe ace was dull,
August 13, 20214 yr Popular Post Palms sre just plain nasty. They shed, harbor vermin and, gross insects. Pretty much a useless plant, IMHO. Just a big ugly weed. And disposing of one is a chore. Glad you got it done.

I mowed the lawn a couple days ago - with the SP push mower. I was swimming in my own sweat when I got done! 16 hours ago, Gerald said: Was not too bad cutting with axe til it dried out and like iron on a rubber pad now. I've read that that is why the early settlers made forts out of palm logs. Cannon balls had a tough time getting through. An early form of bullet proofing!
