Well, got a government day off this Monday, MLK day, so a long weekend it is! Not sure what I'll do but it will involve Mrs. Morris telling me just what that is.

Been playing with a piece of cherry. Hollow form. Will see...

 

Also thinking about how to store the lathe sanding supplies closer to where I need them.

Been playing accountant as I'm treasurer of the local beekeeping club.   I need to file all the year ends with the state organization (and they are in a mess with a new board).   Getting ready to tape sessions on how to assemble hives, frames, foundation etc. for our beginning beekeeping class.

 

 

Trying to match some finish on a piano bench that the top was a mess.   Stripped it.   Ended up after getting three different cans of stain that weren't quite right.  Put on some red dye stain, then "True Black" over the top.   Looks like I hit it pretty well.

 

Off across the state to celebrate a late Xmas and two January birthdays with a daughter's family.

 

To kill some time, I making new tile racks for a Rummikub game that we have.

 

And Michigan daughter just put in an order for two matted picture frames.

still making more chaotic end grain cutting boards from all the scraps we have accumulated,
smoking a 8lb pork but roast on the weber
and sitting down @ 3:30 to watch some football.
 

Sunday will be back putzing around the shop

Send me a picture or two.  Might be surprised what I come up with.  Now the building what I dream up, might be some exotic language involved.

Got mortises done on another leg after other stuff. Had problems with the new computer for club Treasurer. Well in discussion with the computer shop people learned that this model Dell Latitude has a slide switch on the side which disengages both bluetooth and wifi. So that simple fix done I picked up the cinnamon rolls the wife ordered. Y'all should have been here mighty good. After lunch did setup for tomorrows club Zoom meeting and recording session. By the way I signed up For Cindy Dorzda demo tomorrow and since I have a cherry burl ready for something.

Yesterday turned out to be a real nice day here in middle GA - so I started my annual winter pruning projects in the yard.  Got about 3/4 of the muscadines done.  Supposed to be a lot colder today so I am sure I can find a few inside chores to work on, you know, planning stuff

@Gunny Thanks! In my basement shop, before anything gets planned, built or installed, a location must be determined. Last thing I added was a 8" x 10" digital wall clock. That required throwing away the old clock, moving a small blade holder and rerouting half a dozen electrical cords/plugs! 

 

If you've seen my shop, you'd understand the predicament
