After a week or so of late summer weather (lows in the 60-70's and highs in the 80's) we are moving back into fall.  56o here this morning, highs to be about 70.  Sunny and drier than this past week.  So, I am going to enjoy some fall weather and get a bit more yard chores done.  In between, I hope to finish up a couple tool box restorations today and move on into making some space in the shop so that I can tackle a couple woodworking projects that are on my list.

I'm making small boxes out of some scraps I had on hand and playing around with my box joint jig tuning it up. These boxes are made to fit over tissue boxes, specifically to solve a problem with them. Seems that when you pull a tissue out (the popup kind) the box gets picked up and lands on the floor. So these wooden covers are more to provide weight than any particular appearance attribute. Hey, at least it's woodworking. But I still have some trees to cut in the yard, I may get to that as well.

Friday the 13th is my lucky day because I separated from My favorite uncle on Friday the 13th.  This week has been a wash for the shop due to City Council business so I’ll be building flag cases tomorrow and of course watching the Fighting Irish play.

About to put finishing touches on my socket drawer organizer for work toolbox.  Have several other small tray organizers being worked on for drill press cabinet.

Might get started this weekend on a cabinet for two benchtop drill presses I have. New WEN 12 inch on current cabinet has the Chuck at eye level.  But high for my liking.  Will set height so it matches JET 17 inch DP.  And of course the little 8 inch will need a riser to bring it up some.

Probably make a drawer in that riser.  Gotta keep Pace with @steven newman

Turned two bowls and sanded out two more yesterday in my 3 hours I had for shoptime. So today get up with a pain in my shoulder. However like Ron I consider Friday 13 as my lucky day got a rest from shop by getting paid for working siting down today. Tomorrow think I will do some woodburning in prep for demo next Saturday. If anyone would like to watch that We have space for 100 on ZOOM and if you send me a PM will send link not to be shared. The demo is turning a plate, burn in pattern and color with metallic gourd ink.

How about the price on these wrenches?  8mm - 22mm plus a 24 mm

@Larry Buskirk

I'll have to stick with my PROTO set 8-28mm, doesn't ratchet but it was $394.50 cheaper. ;)

I started making a dust collection port for the ad-hoc router table at the furniture bank.   It's a  20 minute quick-and-dirty table that I made from scraps 4 years ago and still going strong.   I drilled a hole for the end of the shop vacuum at 1 3/4 and it wouldn't fit, so I tried 1 7/8 and it's too big.   darn those people that design vac hoses that cannot decide on any common standard!   I've got 4 different hoses and all sorts of adapters, purchased and shop-made, to get them on the vac and onto the machinery. So I ended up stuffing in some silicone caulk, put a plastic bag on the end of the hose and stuffed it in the hole.  I hope once it's set up that will work.

This Saturday will see my son and I installing a 220 breaker and receptacle for the compressor. Sunday, I'll be back to tearing out dog pens/shelters the previous owner built inside the 10X20 room he built inside the shop. From the looks of the wood, those dog pens were never used. Plenty of good fir lumber and 3/4 A/A ply to be salvaged.
