October 6, 20205 yr Popular Post I don't know why I didn't post any pics yesterday. Last weeks flooring and base trim in the living room. This is butterscotch oak laminate flooring. This weeks project is LVT in the dining area. The wall repair was completed yesterday. It was a change in the trim plans that required a bit of finesse just above the HVAC return. In addition to the wall repair yesterday I put down the underlayment and staged a few boxes of flooring and all my tools. I hope to hit it a lick today...

Steve, watching the weather this morning it looks like y'all may be in for another big hit from hurricane delta in a couple days. I don't know if that's what you meant. Be careful and safe down there my friend!
October 6, 20205 yr Cal, the flooring looks fantastic! The way you angled it sure is nice, too. What mil thickness is the flooring? Edited October 6, 20205 yr by Gene Howe
October 7, 20205 yr @Gene Howe - The laminate is 10mm, the vinyl is 5mm. I got about 2/3 of the LVT down yesterday. A lot of zig zagging around the kitchen island, stairs and coat closet. Should have it all down by mid day today and move on to trim.

Swivel sockets now, not possible.

I was a forklift mechanic and didn't see much use of the metric tools. They did come in strong after I was out of it. The metric sockets you turn upside down are the most used sizes?

Sometimes you find 15,16, and 18 on a single bracket on just one side. Crazy how they throw bolts at this stuff.
October 8, 20205 yr Been working on my pipe clamp storage. This prototype seems to fit the bill. Designed for 6 clamps I jammed 9 on it last night for a severe load test. My clamps have pads made that allow them to sit at same level. Makes storage a bit harder. This is holder #1. #2 is still in pieces waiting to assemble.
October 8, 20205 yr Popular Post Neighbor dropped by as I was putting this together. Wanted to know where I come up with these ideas. Underside support for clamp holder. Overkill? Maybe.
