October 17, 20205 yr Author Popular Post Worked on the tool handles and the top-bottom platters. With luck I will finish it all up tomorrow. Paul
October 19, 20205 yr Author Popular Post It’s done for the most part. I have to glue the handles on the tools and install the feet which are supposed to be here later today. Paul
October 20, 20205 yr Author Thanks for all the comments. The “designer” is having revision thoughts at this point. Nothing too serious but she thinks the stone ball is too small and want to go with a 5” ball instead. I am worried about the physics of the situation and that it is going to be too too heavy. We will see. Fortunately I have not mounted the existing stone sphere. Paul
October 21, 20205 yr Author Popular Post Well Amazon messed up the order for the brass feet so I reordered them from a different source and they should be here within a few days. The stone ball will probably get swapped out for a larger version and it also should be here in about 3-4 days. Meanwhile I will get a few more coats of finish on it. Paul
October 21, 20205 yr Author Popular Post So right after I posted those last pictures my designer decided to try putting that crystal sphere she ordered for that Xmas present on it. Looks kind of cool except she put it in front of the window in full sun. Oops. The ball focused the sun onto the top wooden part like a magnifying glass. Fortunately I caught it before it lit on fire. Paul

Also, a really nice table in the background, Paul. BTW, those handles remind me of yarn on those old spools. Really cool. Edited October 22, 20205 yr by FlGatorwood
October 23, 20205 yr Author Popular Post So the real and final stone sphere arrived today. Now we are waiting on the brass feet. Paul
October 29, 20205 yr Author Popular Post The brass feet arrived so this project is finished. I will probably put a few more coats of finish on it to gloss it up. Paul
