Laid in a supply of Ash lumber....about 28bf of 1 x 6 planks.....also ran them all through the planer, until they were all 3/4" thick....between this batch and the 15 bf from last winter....total bill was....$30. Boss says she wants a new, improved Kitchen Island.....letting this batch get used to the house for a while...... Cal, Gunny, HARO50 and 1 other 4 Quote
Gerald Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Sold one of our club lathes this morning. Now one more large lathe to sell. Picked up some cabinet grade ply scrapes at the house next dor under construction this weekend. Never know when you will need a 36 x 8 scrape. HARO50, Gunny, FlGatorwood and 1 other 3 1 Quote
Gunny Posted June 1, 2020 Report Posted June 1, 2020 Took off the side door and removed vinyl widow trim and window as well as hardware. Painted to match other outside doors. One more door to go. That one gets replaced. Not even trying to deal with that one. Gerald, Cal, HARO50 and 1 other 4 Quote
Popular Post steven newman Posted June 2, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted June 2, 2020 What $20 brought home... All 3/4" x 6" Ash. about 28 board feet. Longer ones are about 5' long.... Short two were scraps he threw in with the rest. Started out with six 9' long planks, cut down to better fit in the van. Short ones may wind up as drawer fronts. Popular Post Gene Howe Posted June 3, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted June 3, 2020 I really like my Bosch. Of course, anything would be better than the 40 Y.O. Crapsman it replaced. HARO50, Cal, Gunny and 2 others 5 Quote
Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 Same here, I have a Bosch and wouldn't trade for any other. This is actually my second. My daughter gave me a new one for a Christmas gift, so I sold my older one....but they were equally good. Cal, HARO50 and Gunny 1 2 Quote

I have a Dewalt someone gave me and use it for metal cutting. I loaned my 20 yr old craftsman and it came back in the form of a $100 bill and a bottle of Tequila. Told me I didn't want to know what happened. Found this one online. Bosch Jigsaw 6.5 amp variable speed HARO50 and Cal 2 Quote

I hear ya, just got done installing a battery and fixing a blender cord for neighbor. Little bit more cash in the pot and I am thinking maybe look into a cordless jigsaw instead. Already have a charger and extra batteries but this looked like a good deal. DeWalt Cordless Jigsaw $160, not a bad upgrade. Be nice to not have a cord on one of the two. Cal and HARO50 2 Quote
Gerald Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 Don't know if you are averse to reconditions but $40 is 40. https://www.cpooutlets.com/factory-reconditioned-dewalt-dcs331br-20v-max-cordless-lithium-ion-jigsaw--tool-only-/dewrdcs331br.html Cal and Gunny 1 1 Quote

steven newman Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 Both of my sabre saws are B&D....green plastic from the 70s, and an all metal one from the 60s......hard to find blades anymore... Moose &Squirrel have delivered the plans, about ready to make a cutting list, and start jointing a board or 10..... Gunny, Cal and Gerald 2 1 Quote
HARO50 Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 Gunny, that DeWalt is one hades of a good tool! I've had a lot of use of my son's, (building HIS house) and it beats any other jigsaw I have ever used! Highly recommend it!! John Gunny, Cal and steven newman 2 1 Quote
