My neighbor had one and the only problem I think he had with it was the timing chain had to be replaced at about 100K miles. Other than replacing brakes, batteries, radiator hoses and doing regular maintenance, it is a dependable little machine. One thing that may happen, if it sits too long, the 2 or 3 chips that control the carburetor may need replacing and reseting. If you can afford it, go for it. Another project.
