Shopsmith Lathe Chuck (Easy Wood Tools?)

Featured Replies

The set screw for the Shopsmith adapter has no leather, it is all metal.  The set screw is cup pointed and seats very nicely.  I will check for runout, but I have not noticed any.  Will verify.  Thanks for the heads up, Gerald.

@John Morris,

I looked at several sites trying to find an adaptor that will go from the SS 5/8" to 1 1/4" x 8 TPI.

I couldn't find anything that would do it as a 1 piece unit. Might have to double adapt.

Is the backplate replaceable to change it to 1" X 8 TPI ?

Look at the Link I put up for Best Wood Tools, they show it.
