May 6, 20197 yr I'm new here and just found out about the Patriot Woodworker from a general Google search for woodworker forums. I've been around these forums for almost ten years and this was the first I heard about the PW. So I am curious about the PW story. I think I have read all the boiler plate entries on the PW forum, but still have some questions. When was the PW begun? Who were its founders? Where is its home? How many members are there now? What else can you say about PW other than it's a place for Vets and Friends to hang out and share their passions and their experiences? I think the PW is valuable effort to support all our vets and disabled service members. By learning more, I hope I can do more. Sincerely, Al Heitz (aj43)
May 6, 20197 yr Al, I could chime in but I won’t steal the bosses thunder. If he doesn’t response, I will.
May 6, 20197 yr John's at his paying job, right now. He be da boss. I'm sure he'll be happy to talk about TPWW and it's mission when he gets home.
May 6, 20197 yr What the other guys said. I'm sure @John Morris will be along soon. It's just about his lunch time!
May 6, 20197 yr Popular Post Welcome @aj43, great to have ya aboard. When was the PW begun? April 3rd 2010 Who were its founders? @John Morris, @John Moody, and @Ron Dudelston Where is its home? All the magic started in a small town named San Jacinto CA, 92583. But of course since we are on the web, it's home is around the world. How many members are there now? 2,251 we are The Few, The Proud, The Patriot Woodworkers! But you can help us change that by using your "Invite" feature to bring your friends here. Please see how to invite your friends at this TOPIC. What else can you say about PW other than it's a place for Vets and Friends to hang out and share their passions and their experiences? Perhaps our gang can answer that one? So I am curious about the PW story. I need to get our long winded story copied over to here from another website I was working on, thanks for asking AJ, you have prompted me to take action in that regard! Look for something tonight if you are here then. And again, welcome to our community, we are completely happy you have joined us.
May 6, 20197 yr Popular Post Al, I got invited here from Gene (who will probably never get over that decision LOL), from another woodworking site. I’ve found a bunch of GOOD people here. Happy to help, and like to laugh, whether it’s at themselves, others, the news or whatever. I’m still very new to woodworking, still in the asking questions dept, not yet in the answering dept, (unless it’s electrical, them I can handle). The knowledge here is incredible. So welcome, check it out, mosey around, see if you like it.

May 7, 20197 yr What to do? Pull up a chair, sit a spell. Tell some stories, the good the bad and the ugly. Show some works in progress, maybe get some tips on improving your project. Lots of talented individuals here, very creative bunch.
