I couldn't wait to fabricate a shooting board so I clamped up a mock board on my bench last night and shot an end grain board with it, only to see how well my LN cut, not so much for square but just to feel it.

John, when you do build a shooting board, the #51 requires a side fence on the runway.

Without this, the plane will not easily track straight.

The green eyed monster has reared its ugly head. Color me green with envy.

You WILL enjoy that beautiful piece of iron. Happy shooting!

Hi guys, I'm just putting my feelers out there to see if there would be any serious interest in my No 51 plane and 52 shoot board.

It's in excellent condition with no repairs needed. The so called frog is intact no damage.

No missing parts.

I have not repainted the black areas as the purists may like the original condition and patina.

This one is definately for the collector,  a very rare piece that is looking for its next owner.

Cheers

Thanks Brent!

I've only used it a few times and love it, I have not had the opportunity to use it as much as I would like, but I will soon! In a few years once I retire, the projects will start rolling in!
