John Morris Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 I am not in the market for a router table, I sold mine last fall, don't need one, but I just thought I'd share my amazement with what Shopsmith has available for our machines. I did not know they made a router table, very cool. Anyone own one? @Artie ? http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/rm_routertable.htm HARO50 1 Quote
Artie Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 I do not. I believe you have to supply a separate router with them, kinda makes it a separate machine. kmealy, John Morris and Cal 2 1 Quote

Thanks Artie, I figured you'd have to add your own router, but the table looks like a great fit, I am assuming it mounts to it's own accessory base, and you can just hang it on the wall. Pretty durned cool. Dadio 1 Quote
Gene Howe Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 Mine is the free standing model. It's this one. It's called an over arm pin router. But, can be used as a normal router table with a router hung under the table. I just use the pin router function. Dadio, Cal, Artie and 1 other 4 Quote

kmealy Posted January 10, 2019 Report Posted January 10, 2019 (edited) Note: The Mark V Router Table requires a separate router motor. The router motor must not exceed 3 hp. The router base must be round and not exceed 6-1/2-inches in diameter. 555658 Shopsmith Mark V Router Table ... $319.90 The SS arbor is horizontal and would make it really difficult to run a router table. They do have a router collet but it's normally use as a vertical (drill press) or horizontal (horizontal boring) mode. http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/catalog/rm_routertable.htm Edited January 10, 2019 by kmealy John Morris, Grandpadave52 and Cal 2 1 Quote
