Personally, since I like my food spiced up a little, I never use less than a pinch or a little bit.

 

What most folks don't know, is, that, there is a two and a three finger pinch. A three finger is some where between a pinch and a little bit. I use a three finger pinch of sugar with all of my tomato based foods.

The problem is...as Phyl says...her mom didn't define her terms. Now that she has Stick's graphic, the process will be less stressful.

Same way with "a little bit" I got one time, but that is another story for another time.

I know i'm changing the subject here, but i got the new cord on and plugged it in.   Let it get up to 385 F and then pulled the plug.

Figured that was hot enough to make sure it works.  Interestingly enough, there was a small tapered wood plug in the old cord right up near the handle.
