November 7, 20187 yr Cal to get back to your original question, I bought a Tormek with all the attachments at an auction. To me the ATTACHMENTS are what makes it a really good sharpener. I do like the very slow speed while the stone is turning in water. No danger of heat changing the heat treating... Every thing I own mostly is Grizzly but at the time Grizzly didn't have the grinder to sell or my grinder would be green... Too bad you live a ways from Springfield. Just spending a day in that show room is a metal and woodworkers dream.

Does anyone have this Griz model? How does it work for you? Hey Cal, don't know if you pulled the trigger on the Griz or not, but I stumbled upon this today while You-tubing... Nearly identical to the Grizzly...one added feature on the Wen is one of tool rest post legs is threaded with a nut to allow for easier fine adjustments; one of the complaints against the Grizzly and something end users modified. Less $$'s than the Grizzly 10" as well as the 8" if not on sale plus the 4 pc accessory kit is less than 1/2 price Grizzly's. Wen 10" Wet Grinder at HD Wen 10" Wet Grinder 4pc Acc. December 14, 20187 yr Author Thanks @Grandpadave52, I haven't done anything further yet. Got too doggone busy. Will likely be trying to do some wood projects later in the winter... and will be reviewing my options again at that time.
March 6, 20206 yr You know I've got to go "Old School" I've got most of an Atlas Press Co. Grinder-Hone. Mine's missing the belt guard, and tool rests, but I'm sure I can adapt/make tool rests. Here's a link to the manual. http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=2849
