I think the newer HF clamps have better clamps pads than previous clamps. at least yours do..When I bought these from HF on the cheap half were missing... October 12, 20196 yr comment_204856 Yeah, the newer HF F style clamps have decent pads but could be improved as you did. The new ones have rubberized handles. Soft and easier to grip to tighten. Report

October 12, 20196 yr comment_204870 I've got several Jorgenson F styles that probably would have been in that range 10 years ago. Most of mine came from yard sales and estate auctions. They're so old, pads hadn't been invented yet. And, bottle caps were the screw on metal type. Report
