I did get some lathe time in this past week, between helping put up Christmas decorations (no ladders this year ). I needed to replace that rickety old bench I have in the shop. It was ready to collapse and beyond another repair attempt. There was some maple left over from the high chair project and there's always a little walnut lying around.  All the parts were turned on the lathe. Normally, I don't put a finish on anything I make for the shop/myself. You can see why- miserable failure. Oh well, it's just a 3 legged stool.
