January 1, 20179 yr Popular Post i've made many cutting boards over time for friends (some sent $, some didn't), and more than once i've heard back that they were "too nice to use" sigh. you won't ruin them. i gave you care instructions. they should last your lifetime if cared for properly. it's not a child, use it. enjoy it. years ago i attended a function, and a friend of mine spent the 3 days making BBQ dinner for all. everyone paid the $20 for dinner, and some also put a few bucks into the tip jar. i knew this was going to happen, so i made him a cutting board. he loved it. still uses it all these years later. the cash tips? spent and forgotten. but it's hard to ignore a custom cutting board in your kitchen, and be reminded that you have a friend many miles away.
