Any Radio Heads Out There?

Featured Replies

Around here, there was an AM station up in Detriot.....CKLW......used to tune in with the car radio in my 64 Ford falcon futura....800 on your radio dial...

In High School, the school had it's own FM radio station ( still does) and I had the last "shift" of the school day.    I did the sign-off, shut the station down, filed the log, and went home....

CKLW was actually located in Canada.  Windsor I think.  It was fun for me, when I went to work in the auto industry to travel to Detroit and see the places they talked about.  Gratiot Road, etc.

This has really been a fun thread to read through....and yes, I'm old enough to remember all that stuff. But for the radio rebuilding, I have no suggestion but think that's going to be really cool once he gets it worked out.

I've been looking suggesting a pair of small vertical hinges.  The panel would pop out and lift up.  Like this but much smaller.

Would a lift up panel force the user to bend over to view the digital radio controls- or maybe that isn't a real concern.

Ron,

Sorry I didn't get a chance to look for those hidden hinges, hopefully today.

I had to get up some firewood and break my foot (don't ask) Sunday.

Lew, we'd reverse the hardware to lower the panel.

Ron,

it looks like you're looking for something a bit more complicated than what I have.

What I have are like these.
