  5. While I was in Nashville, I got a call from the Egg Dealer we are building tables for. He had a special request for a square small table for a large Egg. The size is 30"x30" and the height is 34". I called my son since we were gone and he got on it and got it made and finished up on Sunday afternoon. We are thinking we are going to make several of these to take to some shows we are doing. We have six more to do that are the regular size this next week. Man we are cutting a lot of cedar lately.
  6. This weekend in the workshop we started on another custom Green Egg Table. This is one as the others is made from Cedar. The legs are full 4" cedar and have 4" casters on the bottom. I am making a solid top for this table since it will have two cabinets in the right side. The cabinets will allow them a place to store their charcoal on a full extension pull out shelf and in the other cabinet, two full extension drawers to hold cooking utensils and other items. We got the top glued solid and the cabinets sides, back and divider installed. I am hoping to get this delivered this week. Tonight I will be making the doors and pull out shelves. Then the hole will get cut for the Egg to sit in and the finish applied. This is one large table, six feet long,, 30 1/2" deep and 34" tall. Everything on it is solid cedar.
  7. Last week we finished a couple of Green Egg table for several customers. We had one picked up Thursday and it went to Nashville, TN and the other two were for local folks. We loaded them on the trailer and headed out Saturday morning to deliver them. This one we put under the cover of the patio and installed the egg in the nest. The next one went to a new house on the lake. Man what a view they had and what was really nice is they had used Cedar for the columns on the front and some accent places, so this table is going to fit right in. We delivered the table and they had just purchased their Green Egg and it was being delivered and would be installed by the vendor.

  10. I got the custom green egg table finished and delivered. You might remember the song "I Swear" recorded by John Michael Montgomery and All-4-One. Gary Baker was one of the writers on this song and is a friend of mine. This table was a custom design for him. The view from this egg is beautiful. I could sit here all day! The Green Egg is on one side and his grill sits on the other side and one of those special cutting boards in the middle. Behind the cabinet door is a pull out full extension tray to store your charcoal. We were excited to get this table finished and installed for Gary and his family.
  11. While I was off from my day job last week we were trying to finish several projects we had on the board in the shop. This was a custom Cedar Green Egg table for a Large size Green Egg that was a Wedding gift from the bride to the groom. We sprayed it with an Marine Varnish and installed the Green Egg for them so she could surprise him when they got home. I hear He was excited to see it all ready to use on the Deck!. No I didn't hang around to see them when they got there.

  16. Today we got two Green Egg Tables delivered and cleared some space in the shop. Now to get all of the scrape cedar put away before the boys arrive. This table was built to hold a medium Green Egg Smoker and had to be delivered today for an anniversary gift. Just made it under the line. These ceramic cookers are heavy, and I mean real heavy. So it was only my son and I to put this one into the table. It normally takes four guys to sit the large on into the table. A friend of mine told me if we took the top off it would be easy for two of us. So I took the hinge off the back of the cooker and got the top off. It came off way too easy. We got the egg in the table and then the hinge wouldn't go back on. I thought I was about to buy a green egg and these are expensive. After about an hour I decided it would be better to call the Green Egg Dealer and let them put it back on. So it cost me $40.00 to get the hinge put back on. I would have been better off just getting a couple of guys to help us sit it in the table. But at least it was done my the dealer and if something isn't right they can call the dealer and have them come back out. So now the shop is ready for the next project that will get started tomorrow. No time to slow down. I have help on the way!!>
