I have to sneak in some work other than for stained glass doings this time of the year. The snow flakes are sawn 6 pieces at a time and it takes two pieces to make one flake. The ornaments have lots of inside sawing so I only saw two at a time which will make one ornament. And actually I forgot to have four boards nailed together when I started this morning. I use about the same size brads as the hole I drill for I only want the boards to stay inline and come apart without breaking the sawed out pieces.. The brads are .045 and the drill bit is a number bit # 57 which is .043. Having to hold the drill instead of using a drill press one has to be very careful...... I could use the drill press but would have to cut the pieces to saw down in length but this makes more wasted time.

I don't sell a lot but there is a local gift shop that displays my ornaments every year. The birdhouse ornaments have been so popular I didn't do any "traditional" ornaments this season. Wouldn't you know, someone asked if there would be any "un birdhouse" ornaments this year? She told me on Thursday, told her I'd try to have her five by Saturday. Hopefully the person will see something they like. These will get one or two more coats of finish.

As my to-do list is getting shorter, my wife reminded me that this is my year to make our annual Christmas ornaments for the grandkids. We've been doing this for a number of years (oldest just turned 16 -- watch out on the roads!). I made something from wood, my wife does something from fabric. The plan was when they become adults and out on their own, they'll have something to start with and memories from childhood years. Anyway, in the past I've done various things -- snowflakes, snowmen, candy canes, sleds, etc. The reindeer had too much weakness in the neck and didn't work out. I don't do scroll sawing nor turning. Looking for ideas.

Well folks your generosity just keeps coming! Today I received a package from @Gerald and found these beautiful ornaments inside. The bells especially are so beautifully crafted, delicate and flawless. Thank you so much Gerald!

A big thank you to Steve Krumanaker for our first delivery of Christmas ornaments for the Easy Wood Tools Christmas tree! We will be very proud to display these beautiful works of art in our front lobby! Steve asked me if turning the ornaments with Easy Wood Tools was a requirement.... NO it is not! We support all turning no matter what tools you use... of course if you want an opinion, we are glad to give you one. Thank you so much to Steve. I know others have let me know they are busy working on them. Finally thank you to all of you that would consider doing this for us. We are going to have the prettiest tree in Kentucky!
