  1. Here’s a picture of my Godson’s latest work.
  2. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

I did this a while back this year. Had a chance to finish it. Very proud of the looks and how it expresses itself.
  3. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

This eagle was started at the Championship in Addison, Pa. I brought it home to finish. Many have seen this all over. The rough in was about 45 minutes, but the details were some time. It has become the profile pic for the Texas chainsaw carving community. Was so happy by the outcome.
  4. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

I started this at Addison, Pa chainsaw festival. Finally had the chance to get it somewhat done. Real happy by the outcome!
  5. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

A view to show detail in feather work along with torch burning.
  6. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

Looking up at the piece. Looks real haha.
  7. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

The finished product after 8 long months. Everything is carved, including grasses. The snails is carved too. The fly was tied by me for the jumping brown trout. What a cool project. Thanks for looking!
  8. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

One of the snails hand carved by dremel. Acrylic paints
  9. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

The rainbow is finished for the mount in the trio.
  10. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

Brown is ready for the trio mount. Finally!
  11. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

This little guy was done by several different saws. I then took the time and by dremel, got it burnished with burrs and stones to obtain a smooth look. Torches and stained the pine piece to give an old look. Only about a foot high.
  12. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

Starting of 3 species of trout for a friend. Much work to go. Rough in by chainsaw, then worked down to smooth finish. Home depot lumber believe it or not. 2x6 material glued up, then sawn down. The three trout will be one of each, Brook, brown, and rainbow. It will have an eagle looking down from a perch.
  13. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

Picture showing position of the brook trout. The dorsal fin gives it away as to what type of trout. Color will be soon by using the airbrush.
  14. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

A more distant view on this flying 4.5 ft raptor. Enjoy!
  15. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

  18. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

Taken from the book "How to chainsaw carve an eagle" by Jaime Doeren, and Dennis Roghair. In pine at 3'. Enjoy!
  19. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

Finished this up for the annual officer memorial 5k in Norvelt Pa. This will happen oct 8 th this year. It is pine painted and burned at 4.5 ft. Rocks were a combination of paint and log oil. Hope you enjoy!
  20. From the album: Chainsaw Carving

The next step was a color scheme. I chose black with grey and white. Sliver for the eyes. Now to finish the base and seal it. What do ya think? Thanks for looking! Prowess Carving
