Beautiful work Skip! Thanks for sharing, what did you finish the bowl with, how fine did you sand it?

A neighbor works for a lumber mill and deals with premium logs.  They cut a cookie off the end and split it to evaluate the grain.  So he brought a pretty one home but didn't have a use of it- just looks at it.  I turned the bowl for his wife, Brandy.  I sanded it to 400 and put two coats of poly and then beeswax.  BTW, the edge is not natural, it's where they split it.

Welcome aboard Jeffrey.  That is a beautiful bowl, and I really like the edge on it too.

Glad to have you here, hope you will post up some more of your work.
