Ron Dudelston Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 I stopped by a yard sale this morning and picked up 7 braces, 3 clamps, a Red Head eggbeater drill and a boxful of new Schlage hinges, handles and miscellaneous hardware for $30. The box of hardware isn't shown. All of the braces will be shipped to the country of Malawi where we have a missions group. The Malawi men are amazing carpenters and braces are very desirable. lew Posted August 19, 2014 Report Posted August 19, 2014 Nice haul! I'll bet those craftsmen will be tickled pink with their new tools. Quote
Gene Howe Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 Nice haul and I'll bet the recipients will be ecstatic. Quote
John Morris Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 That's a heck of a haul Ron, I know the third world loves those tools. When I was a kid we took down a ton of stuff just like this to the outskirts of Belize to give to carpenters that were building a school, they loved them all. And they knew how to use them! They all look like 3 jaw chucks? Quote
Ron Dudelston Posted August 20, 2014 Author Report Posted August 20, 2014 Actually I think they are 2 jaw chucks. Quote
John Moody Posted August 20, 2014 Report Posted August 20, 2014 I like that Red Head Egg Beater. Did you take the top off the handle and see if it had any bits in it? Quote
John Morris Posted July 16, 2018 Report Posted July 16, 2018 @Ron Dudelston, are you still involved in this project for the Malawi workers? Grandpadave52 1 Quote
