One of the reasons I love woodworking, we are always hopeful! Like, man, I sure hope this works!

Last week my granddaughter said she wanted to do another wood project with me so I asked her what she wanted to make. Her reply was "a fish". So we searched on line and found a fish wall hanging she liked and yesterday I picked out some scrap wood she liked and cut the necessary pieces out with my scroll saw.

This week she is on a summer trip but I told her when she got back the fish would be ready for her to bring to life. She is becoming quite the artist.

I will post pictures when she finishes it.

some chores to do today, then start working on a little box.

Just getting over what historically was our best show of the year. Again it did not disappoint, so instead of sleeping in during vacation this week it was off to one lumberyard to get maple, cherry, and walnut lumber. Tomorrow it's off to the other to pick up purple heart, bloodwood, padauk, and canary wood.

The rest of the week its busting splinters to replenish stock on the items we sold out of yesterday. Fortunately. This weekend's show is only our 3rd best for the year.

John, what are your best sellers? I have an acquaintance in Norway who is always complaining that his stuff never sells- mostly candle holders and off-center stuff. He asked me what sells well in the US. I don't do shows so I couldn't answer his questions.

It's all over the place for us. No one item consistently out-sells the other. The best i could do for them is to have them explore our website or Facebook page for ideas www.roundbarnwoodcrafts.com

My weekend was a bit slow due to the 95 heat. Today sharpened the zero turn blades and mowed the front 40 (ok not actually 40 but close to 1.5) . Got first two sheets of tin on the lean to. Just saw the weather for next week at 95 plus degrees so got to get busy on the rest of the roof this week.

@lew as for my sales big items in the 100 to 150 range do not do well in this market. My number one item is spin tops. Would have to look but kitchen items do well here also. It is crazy as one year an item does really well and the next it is dead. Can give you more specifics if you want but is is different in every venue and geographic area. In my opinion you either specialize in a category (kitchen man, top man, bowl man) or have a large variety of items from toy to Christmas to decorative. Then you will be more likely to have something somebody will want.

Four drawer fronts finally attached after I picked up some simple metal drawer handles this morning. First one took a while to figure out the countersink and fasteners and spacing, but got a bit easier/faster as I went along.

Full extension slides which will be nice for accessing items.

My method was to drill holes where the handles would attach, use those to screw into the drawer front to center/locate the walnut face. Then remove the drawer, countersink/pilot to attach the walnut front from the inside. Then remove the screws in the holes for the handles, drill through so I could have a location for a countersink, and then install the handles with the bolts.

Next will be doors for the two outside cabinets and more drawers (deeper) on the middle two. Slow progress...but at least moving forward!

Went to Ashland on Sunday to pick up our grandson for the week, Monday we are out running around, and I notice a chirping sound coming from the motor & my first thought was the tensioning pulley on the serpentine belt was going bad, check it, no play. I then check all the other pulleys, and everything is fine. So, I google search "chirping in the engine on a 2013 Cruze" & the results tell me my sparkplugs could be lose. This morning I pop the hood, pull the plastic cover off the ignition block and remove the 2 screws holding it in place and expose the 4 sparkplugs. Plug #1 tight, #2 I turn one full turn, #3 tight, #4 tight, put it back together and fire it up, purred like a kitten. In all my days I would never have thought that the sparkplugs would become loose and cause this noise. I learned something today. Further reading tells me this is a known issue with the Cruze.
