Hargis Jr posted a great comment about @RustyFN's ornaments. Specifically about the way to turn spheres. Tomislav Tomasic has the answer in these two videos. Turning spheres, free hand seems daunting but with a little practice it's pretty easy using his method. This is very similar to the method used by Alan Stratton but with less calculations.The first video is for getting the shape close to a sphere. The second is for chucking and finalizing the shape/sanding.Mr. David Reed Smith made similar jam checks. To prevent slippage, he lined the recess with thin closed cell foam.In the "General Woodworking" forum, member @BB1 has been demonstrating the versatility of 3D printing in the workshop.
