I'd try a CAT 6 cable directly from the computer into the modem- temporarily bypassing your router. See if it works. Could eliminate one firewall.

I have a CAT5e so basically the same thing.  I bypassed the router and no change.

Are you using Duck Duck Go?

No sir, typically Google, sometimes Brave.

@difalkner

If I remember correctly, I rebooted the modem/router then things were back to Abby-Normal.

I haven't done that in a few weeks so I might try that.

Hmmm... I'll dive into that - thanks!  Still, it's odd that out of over 15 forums this is the only one where I see this issue.  Don't even see it on the other forum using the same software.

On one of the posts, I read that Bitdefender was picking up sites whose certificates were close to expiring. Maybe John Morris' help desk request may discover something like that.

The only other thing I can think about doing is to use something like Uninstaller Pro or Revo Uninstaller. Use their registry cleaner. Reboot. Turn on Windows Defender. See if posting works. If it works, reinstall Bitdefender and try it again. Turn off Windows Defender.

Maybe the Windows Firewall custom rule might work

All of that is good info and the suggestions help, but I still go back to 'this is the only forum where I see this issue'.  If I was seeing this on every forum it would be different but it's only this forum for every browser I try. I added this site to the exceptions for Bitdefender and even disabled it, still no dice on any browser. I said earlier I keep 15 tabs open to forums but it appears there are more - 🤔  Videos on these other forums show properly to me and I don't get any Online Threat Notifications on these other forums.

I contacted IT for our server, I included a screen shot of the security warning, here is their reply.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We’ve checked everything on our side, and the website is working normally and not serving any malicious content. The alert you’re seeing appears to come from Microsoft’s SmartScreen/Online Threat Prevention system, which can sometimes flag certain technical URLs as suspicious even when they are safe.

Here’s what we’ve verified so far:
- We performed a full scan using Imunify360, and no malware was found
- The URL being flagged is a normal internal link used by the website’s system operations
- No harmful or unusual activity appears in our server logs

This points to a false positive from the security software.
To help clear it on your device, you can try:
- Updating your browser/security software
- Clearing cached security data
- Testing from a different network or device
