A new Craft in America is out, I enjoyed this one just as I do all of them, there is also an EAST edition as well.

 

WEST celebrates the continuum of heritage and the handmade, taking inspiration from the landscape, history and culture of the American West. Working across cowboy arts, Hawaiian indigenous practices, and Native American handwork, the artists show how traditional craft can be revived, reworked and reinvented in the art of today. PBS Premiere December 19, 2025.

 

Monday 

 

 Think I'll stay inside until at least Sunday when we're forecast to return to the 30°s for a couple of days. 

Our very last medical appointment of the year is today, then I'm just hunkering down until this wind we're having passes (gusts to 50 MPH). I've made some designer firewood this past week working on some pet urns and serpentine drawers, I'll resume working on those maybe tomorrow.

Started another "vessel of illusion" over the weekend, may tinker with that a little.

Well fellas it is colder here this week but nothing like y'all are getting. Finished a bowl for the AAW Swap yesterday. Today start working on shelves in the house and maybe a bit of shop cabinets.  My oldest and grandson are coming in tomorrow. Wife has been sick all weekend but just got up feeling a bit better.

  Trashman came at 4a.m. & then all we heard were trashcans tumbling in the street this morning, had to go across the street to get ours. Quick trip tomorrow down to Pittsburgh airport and send my SIL back to N. Carolina. Kick back and relax till we bring in the New Year.

Monday?  😱 Monday?  

Boss had her errands to run, this morning....a Tail wind is good for another 5 mpg..IF you are driving in the right direction..

Got bored, spent 1 hour in the shop, today..

 

Top drawer is now in the clamps..

Start on #2 tomorrow?  

 

Snow is starting to stick around, instead of being blown to the next County east of here...Need to just go and Hibernate until March 17th....

Helped SIL install and wire a new security camera with motion detection flood lights on their garage yesterday. Had to do some rewiring from the switch to the sub-panel.

 

Not much on the agenda this week since we went from a high temperature yesterday of 66° with a Tornado warning and storms in the evening to a refreshing +12°, wind chill -12° early this morning. To better enjoy the change of seasons, it's snowed off/on all day; 10 day forecast doesn't show anything above freezing but does include more snow.

 

Need to call NYC and Times Square to see if they would consider dropping donuts instead of a crystal ball.
