This custom made Easy Wood Tools Rougher is one of many tools offered for this years project, this tool has been custom made by our sponsor EWT, specially for this years Christmas project, this is a very rare tool issued by EWT, please join our project and enter our raffle for a chance to win this very special issued turning tool.

Introduction

It's that time of year again folks! And it's time for us to step up to the plate and support the men and women and families who put it all on the line to keep our nation safe, the men and women of our Armed Forces!

We are very thankful that we are able to team up with Soldiers Angels.

Our Goal

This year, we will be doing the usual raffle, with 100% of the proceeds going to a Warrior Family for their Christmas! Through the application process, we have been teamed up with a wonderful Navy family!

us navy.jpgOur Adopted Family

Our adopted family has two children, and just to name a couple of their requests are a pair of headphones, some sneakers, a sweater and a gift card for Food Lion to help pay for their Christmas meal.

As usual, by the generosity of our members, we seem to do more than our adopted families ask, our Patriot Woodworkers and guests always rise above and beyond expectations, so I am in the process of asking the family if their kids would mind extending their Christmas list 🙂

Let's make this happen folks!

A Privacy Note

You may have noticed in past Christmas fundraisers families have graciously shared their images and stories of service with our members, that was wonderful, by doing so they formed a visual connection with our Patriot Woodworker's and guests who donated to this project.

More and more though, privacy has become a high concern for our military members, with the advent of Artificial Intelligence and facial recognition software and much more, we have to take precautions to protect our military families and their privacy these days. And organizations such as Soldiers Angels are honoring that by asking us, the donors, to not ask for any personal information beyond names and contact information and shipping addresses. This is a common theme across charitable platforms these days, and we'll honor their wish.

If the family wishes to give out more information and images, of course we'll share with you, with their permission.

Please know, with or without a face, you are helping in a big way, and we want to thank you in advance for giving back, thank you!

How this works

If you donate $2.00 to our fundraiser, your name will be entered into our random draw 1 times.

If you donate $5.00 to our fundraiser project, your name will be entered into our random draw 3 times.

If you donate $10.00 to our fundraiser project, your name will be entered into our random draw 7 times.

The more you donate, the more chance you have of winning.

The project will start on November 17, 2025 and end on December 31, 2025 when the names will be drawn to receive the fabulous items donated by our sponsors.

Thank you folks for your support!

Just a heads up, links and images for the prizes will be provided later today, sorry I couldn't get that handled this morning.

Also, for our donors, I'd like to ask you a favor, as many of you know you are going to contribute to this fundraiser, and quite often we wait till it gets closer to the end of the project before we donate, given the time left to get the kids presents ordered and shipped before the deadline of the 15th of December, if you are able, would you mind helping us front load this fundraiser with funds? So if you plan on making a donation at some time during this project, would you consider donating soon?

This way we'll have the funding up front to get their items shipped.

Thanks!

PS, the project deadline goes past Christmas, any funds collected after the final shipping of presents, will be donated directly to the family in the form of cash or check, or gift card, it'll be their choice, so they'll have some fun money after New Years to do as they wish.

Im in John.  Thank you so much for doing this.

@John Morris, My apologies, this almost slipped my mind.  Hope my donation isn't too late.

A few years ago, I was fortunate to win 8 quarts of General Finishes products.  I never thought I could use them all.  But projects come along and I've now used these outstanding products many times.  Thank you.

I am a bit late to the party, but did just donate.  Do we have an updated amount total? What a wonderful cause. Merry Christmas 🎄

Hey Bob, we didn't have a specific goal in mind, but we are over the 1500.00 dollar mark, about 700.00 have been spent on gifts and food for the family, and the rest will be distributed after the raffle to the family in cash, for something fun for their New Year.

So I'd say ya'll did pretty good!
