Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted December 11 Report Posted December 11 that I'll ask here among friends. I was just perusing a for sale ad on another site that described the plane as "crispy". I've seen that description many times referring to hand tools (usually planes) but still I do nor know exactly what it means. Someone want to enlighten me? Sorry for being dense. steven newman, lew, HARO50 and 1 other 3 1 Quote

kmealy Posted December 11 Report Posted December 11 What does "crispy" mean in Gen Z? AI overview: “In modern slang, “crispy” means something is cool, awesome, or of high quality. It can be used to describe things like clothing, accomplishments, or even a person's demeanor. Essentially, it's a positive term suggesting something is impressive or desirable.” Yep, crispy. Fred W. Hargis Jr Posted December 11 Author Report Posted December 11 I haven't heard that so much as a Gen Z thing, it's been around a while...at least with hand tools. But that is likely still the correct (or at least as close to correct as anything can be). Grandpadave52, lew and HARO50 3 Quote

HARO50 Posted December 12 Report Posted December 12 We replaced our dollar bills with the "Loonie" about 25 years ago, and we did away with the penny entirely. So now that y'all copied us on the penny thing, it probably won't be much longer before George Washington is replaced with a coin. "Loonie" is already taken.... guess you'll have to call it the "Loco" Or maybe the "George". Fred W. Hargis Jr, lew and Grandpadave52 3 Quote

Have had them for some time actually. It's not used much b/c nobody wanted to convert the cash registers to accept another slot. But now with most people paying by credit cards and the eventual elimination of the penny slot in the register drawers MAYBE it (the dollar coin)will become a common item. I'm not holding my breath b/c a paper bill weighs much less than a coin Edited December 17 by smitty10101 HARO50, Gerald and Grandpadave52 3 Quote
