I needed some M6 Flat Head screws.  They came in a crappy plastic divided box.  Thought I'd try and give the screws a better home.

Walnut scrap.  Lid is a salvaged stick of weathered wood from an outdoor wood chair.   Thick enough that I though it could use an added function.

Obviously as a snug fitting top.  Also as a parts tray:

To keep all the hardware for the current project contained in one tray.

Almost.  This project started with a glued up pine block made from a long slice off the side of a 2x-something.  All was going well until the perimeter cut when the block came loose and got ruined by the spinning bit.  That block I had wedged in place as it was barely larger than what I wanted to cut.  The unusually slippery sides I'd added friction tape to to keep it in place.  Apparently the direction and vibration of the 1/4" end mill cutting the perimeter loosened the wedge which I didn't notice until I heard unusual (bad) sounds and a clunk of the board to the floor from my CNC

@4DThinker I apologize for being late to the party, but your boxes are amazing. I really like the concept.  I have tons of cut offs from my plaques that I make with my LongMill CNC machine. I have always wanted to attempt a box like yours but haven’t gotten there yet.
