April 11, 20251 yr Popular Post Friday Folks Might actually get a dry weekend here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" If so, I'll be out in the yard trying to do some cleanup. What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
April 11, 20251 yr Popular Post I may try to burn my burn pile, it's been piling up since last July and i'll have to burn it before the crops spring up around me, or rent a dumpster and haul it off. If I'm in the shop I'll be screwing around on the lathe or working on organizing my wood stash. Of course Marie is into her Easter baking extravaganza so I may be locked in the kitchen helping her.
April 11, 20251 yr Popular Post Been a meeting filled week with just a couple of hours of shop time. Tomorrow changes all of that. I have a walnut custom flag case that needs to be built.
April 11, 20251 yr Popular Post Moving day...at least for this thing... And, get it loaded up.. Added an "Accent Piece" Seems to fit in?

April 11, 20251 yr Popular Post It's been a busy week for me; gone every evening and a couple times during the day; not one trip involved a donut shop; poor planning on my part. Working on my domestic duties today. Tomorrow, youngest grandson has a soccer match in the morning then his 11th birthday party in the evening. Both of his sisters are planning to come home for the event. Palm Sunday services on Sunday. Edited April 11, 20251 yr by Grandpadave52
April 12, 20251 yr Popular Post spent today at the ranch with son doing bush hog work and me putting screws in floor of trailer. oh by the way got the lights working except running lights however do not plan to haul at night. Gonna take tomorrow off ranch work and try to clean up he terrible messy shop.
April 12, 20251 yr Popular Post Only thing I have planned is my granddaughter's 10th birthday party. If I have time I need to repair one of my fence gates.

April 12, 20251 yr Popular Post Yep, Bellefontaine , OH also has one Tim Horton's Worked out on the back Patio this afternoon...quite a 2 Guinness day..Mostly sunny 53 degrees outside... Boss bought a 2 seater porch swing...which I then had to assemble...and not with the POS tools they provided... Feet started to cramp out, then at the backs of the legs...BREAKTIME! film @2300hrs...
April 12, 20251 yr Popular Post POS Tools they supplied.. Metric, of course...we have much better on hand...even an Impact drill... Of course, there was a Supervisor on duty... Resting up, after I had to run the Leaf blower around a bit,,,wore the boy plum out.. Came in handy as a work table... Now? Might be getting a bit low?
April 14, 20251 yr Popular Post Well I made it to my granddaughter's birthday party on Saturday. At one point I had to put my hearing aids in my pocket. 🙉 Repaired my fence gate today. I also made a curbside find of an old piece of furniture that I scrapped for the wood and it was 100% real wood, no plywood, MDF, particleboard etc. All the joints were mortise and tenon or dove tails and I was hoping one of you could tell me how long it has been since people quit using square nails to make furniture because every nail, even the tiniest, were square. April 14, 20251 yr Popular Post Actually got to spend some time in the shop today and here is the outcome. Old fashioned pegged mortise and tenon picture frames. Frames are Cherry with Sapele pegs.
April 14, 20251 yr Popular Post Hello! Didn't there used to be a 'For Sale' sub-forum? I want to place a WTB note - waterstones, oilstones, and a flattening stone. Old stuff not worth much more than the USPS Flat Rate Medium Box shipping label I'd provide Otherwise, I'm spending $200 for new gear. Thinking 1000 and 4000 grits plus the flattening stone to start. This was posted on 'Work Bench' but here it is again . A plank assembled from 13 tiny slats, planed and scraped, crosscut into four pieces, butt-glued, and a thin base added. Considering a lid

Anyways just make a separate thread Jim in this forum, listing items for sale or want to buy. Pictures would be great also.
