September 29, 20241 yr Sunday finds us in an Elmendorf TX motel on the way to Port Aransas, about 3 hours away. Looking forward to meeting up with Phyl's sibs for a week of visiting, beach fun and fresh sea food. Then, it's a 4 day trip back home to Tucson. I've about had my fill of windshield time and motels.

Those things are really good for getting the fine dust out of the air, even if you have a world class DC set up, there's still dust that escapes from activities that aren't part of tht system (tip: never, ever, rout MDF indoors in your shop). That said, remember that if that ambient cleaner can get the dust, so can your lungs....my way of saying that while they're good to have but the time they clean the air you've already been breathing it. So they're not perfect but very useful. I have a question about the way you installed that one, you can still get to it to clean/change the filter(s) can't you? Curious minds and a just a old tractor junkie. I seem to recall their base models are manufactured by Kioti to Bad Dogs specs. Kioti makes really good tractors. I think Daedong (manufacturer of Kubota and Kioti brands) makes the Bobcat line of tractors as well. Edited September 29, 20241 yr by Fred W. Hargis Jr

Like any brand, good a good dealer network and support system as well as being local is equally important. Looking forward to reading more about your experiences. Be safe. FYI, video link displayed "file could not be found" on my Samsung tablet. It is a 3026H manufactured in S Korea and assembled in US. 24 hp. Manuf starts with a K.

Yes sir, i can remove filters. (Not that I haven’t made similar mistakes before!) I do have a dust collector, they should be called chip and shaving collectors)

Any advice from the collective brain trust here? Air filtration should be mounted so there is an air flow thru the shop and best 2-3 feet off one side wall. It does help. I have two in my 24x36 shop one pointed to front and the other to rear. I have one on the same circuit as the lights so it comes on when I walk in

It's not as quiet as i'd like either.

Decided to retire again. Haven't looked back. Haven't been in the plant for 10 years now. Retirement is "more gooder!"
September 30, 20241 yr Popular Post It's funny the different outlook folks have of retirement. I had several colleagues that told they weren't going to retire early (my company offered early out packages when i retired) because they didn't have anything else to do! I quickly learned I didn't have time for a job after i retired.
