Great job on the step stools Finally all done. I tried using the burn paste to burn the names on the stools, but it just didn’t look right. Made the red oak look dirty. So I sanded the names off and used some store bought letters and painted them. I put 4 coats of a water based satin finish on these. I’m happy with the way they came out. I also can remember when they made house calls. Thanks very much Al B.

August 19, 20241 yr Author Popular Post I delivered the child’s stools to the doctor today. She was almost in tears when she seen them, and she reached it o her purse and handed me two thank you cards from her twins. Man, it’s been a very long time since I received something as nice as this.

August 21, 20241 yr Popular Post Nicely done Pauley. I was sure I made a couple of these for the grandkids, but I don't have pictures. Cleaning the shop yesterday and found a pattern for the stools.
November 22, 20241 yr Popular Post Red oak is a beautiful choice too—will look great with their names on them. I’ve always found working with wood a bit intimidating at first, but once you get going, it’s pretty fun. I made a step stool for my niece once; she loves it because it’s just the right height for her to reach the sink.

Speaking of, I’ve had a great experience with Ladders and Step Stools in the past. They offer solid products that make it safe and easy to reach those higher places, whether in the garage or around the house. Edited December 6, 20241 yr by Mstatosh
