July 21, 20241 yr Popular Post Last weekend I responded to the "Friday July 12th, 2024-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?" thread with a post about the change jar stand I had made. Gerald commented on the post, "Cool idea but I would opt for a jar with larger mouth." I decided Gerald was right so this weekend I upgraded my change jar, with what I had on hand. The top of a 5 gal. water cooler bottle, a piece of 2" PVC and a piece of 1/4" clear rubber tubing to cover the sharp edge of the funnel. Thanks Gerald.

That is a great idea and now you can toss it from the other side of the room.😆. By the way that half jar of change from son’s FIL was over $118. Plus’s he had two silver dollars and a fine 99.9 silver dollar in it. Looked up the fine on Amazon and uncirculated go for from 45 to 85.

Not all one day Well, things could have been better. I spent the morning building 3 doors for the cabins. Got them done OK. Except the manager wanted the plywood panels stapled on because he planned to reuse in the future (something that is rare for him). But the stapler was not working, so I made an executive decision to just screw them on, that is how we started last week. He likes to do a weekly to do handout, usually 15-20 pages, triple spaced, 20 point font. I have tried to convince him that a few drawings with dimensions would convey much more information in way less words. He has resisted, but must have relented in drawing one for the picnic tables and benches. I expressed concern that since there will be 3 actors dancing on the table tops that we should be concerned that they might tip over. I think he thought I meant collapsing. But anyway he relented with a detailed drawing. This should be enough to build a whole table, right? Then my helper and I built the end caps for a large 12x14 platform. Front and back were built last week. But (brain fart he says), he forgot to allow for height of the the 10" high I-beam joists, making it too tall. I told him of a way to hang the joists from the inside, and that will work, but they'll need to be cut in length. We spent the last hour of the day listen to him ramble on about how he was going to put the steps up to the second floor's back and other stuff mostly irrelevant. We think he's losing it. <end of rant>
