JimM Posted June 17, 2024 Report Posted June 17, 2024 I had one. It served me for a long time. I had the router extension which was a nice feature. Looks like a great buy for a beginning ww. Grandpadave52 1 Quote
John Morris Posted June 17, 2024 Report Posted June 17, 2024 Heck ya, that's an excellent deal for anyone I'd imagine! Those were and are good saws. Definitely the perfect saw for the beginner on a budget. Grandpadave52 1 Quote
HandyDan Posted June 17, 2024 Report Posted June 17, 2024 My brother has one. Says the drawback is making common jigs. There are no bar slots. Grandpadave52 1 Quote
smitty10101 Posted June 17, 2024 Report Posted June 17, 2024 I had one a long time ago. Couldn't get the darn thing to cut @ 90 degrees no matter how much I adjusted it. Drove me madder than I am. Router wing/table was a gem though. Portability was also nice. Decibels was high with the universal motor. Sold it for $300(???) Memories!!! Grandpadave52 1 Quote
Grandpadave52 Posted June 18, 2024 Report Posted June 18, 2024 IIRC, Ryobi branded a near identical saw for Sears-Craftsman too. So did you buy it Keith? Quote
Al B Posted June 18, 2024 Report Posted June 18, 2024 It seems that no miter gage slots would be a big negative. At least it would be for me Grandpadave52 1 Quote

The BT 3000 was similar to the BT3100 & the Sears clone. A friend had the Sears clone and was very happy with it. He had it on a scissors lift that is similar to the lifts currently under job site saws. Al B and Grandpadave52 2 Quote
Al B Posted June 18, 2024 Report Posted June 18, 2024 (edited) The sliding table side surely does help but as @HandyDan noted, making jigs for the saw would be a problem. But hey.,for $20.00, such a deal. Edited June 18, 2024 by Al B Grandpadave52 and kmealy 2 Quote
