May 2, 20242 yr Popular Post tab A, slot B, shelf C.....don't forget Glue Z.....and some clamps. loose fit (with blue tape labels), and clamping up waiting for glue to cure. top will be attached with figure 8 connectors later. spar urethane finish, 2 coats. no stain on this maple.

Looks like these will hold up really well.
May 2, 20242 yr Popular Post first coat of poly on, another tomorrow. assuming they like this prototype, i'm on the hook for 3 more. i'll have to get more lumber. 24H, 16x22 top, 1" over hang to legs, legs are 1-3/4" square, skirt is 2" deep, bottom of lower shelf is 10" above floor, about 10" between skirts and top of lower shelf.

Tenons AND grooves are all done for the rails....might try to do Raised Panels, tomorrow? Legs aren't up to any more shop time, today...

May 3, 20242 yr Popular Post second coat of poly on the table this morning, after a very light sanding with 220. looks good, should feel good later. will deliver it to the church monday morning, that gives it 3 full days to cure up.

May 3, 20242 yr Popular Post looks way better with 2 coats of poly: found one or two stray brush bristles, carefully removed them. it'll be ok.
