That will likely put Shopsmith out of business.  

Should make the price on the older saws skyrocket as well.

Just in time, I have 4 and was thinking about selling a couple off. Maybe I'll hang on to them.

Once again, we have more government than we pay for.

I have to wonder if Mr. greed, owner of SawStop has anything to do with pushing this . He stopped the /Bosch technology from being sold in USA

A 1:45 into the video we find out this is not even the first time he's tried it

The guy who "invented" SawStop was a patent lawyer and filed dozens of patents around the technology.  Bosch's was nothing similar but it stopped them.

 

What company got sued by a guy (who had apparently never used a table saw before) was a rookie floor installer, tried doing a freehand cut and cut his free hand?

I was watching YouTube shorts the other day.  A guy was showing how to make and use a push stick.   He cut the bird's mouth in the push stick free hand on the table saw.  I wish I would had saved it.

I think I might cash out my IRA and buy up a bunch of DeWalt saws like in the video.   I can then double or triple my money on the secondary market in a few years.

Seems to me there are far more pressing matters our federal government should be prioritizing with their time than what type of tablesaw is in my garage. Classic example of government over-reach.  Just another example of the scariest words ever uttered, "hello I'm from the federal government. I'm here to help."
