Did not see anything and not much going on here. So here goes. Finished a good weekend at the Ag Museum. A friend cut two cherry burls I hope to get this week. A club member has a line on few large cherry logs , we may harvest this week.Starting today to laminate some blanks for Christmas gift boxes.

What was your weekend like and what plans do you have for the week?

400 mile round trip, Saturday, to the Woodcraft of Richmond VA for their 7th year anniversary- did an Easy Wood Tools demo. Rained half way down and back but no problems. I was surprised at how many of the trees have already started to change color that far south of here. Great store and very nice folks there.

Have an elm platter that needs to have a lasered signature and a couple of walnut rounds waiting to turn.

Thanks Gerald.

All day swim meet on Saturday at local college about did me in. Granddaughter had a respectable showing considering she has a cold and had a meet across state the evening before. Some pretty talented swimmers at the DIII level. Oldest granddaughter went home last night. Mrs. is on vacation of sorts this week. We're keeping grandsons while they're on fall break. I'll be taking youngest granddaughter back to campus tomorrow. She has to be back for swim practice.

A couple on-line auctions I'm following close this week. One ends tonight, the other tomorrow night. Remainder of the week TBD depending on auction results as well as activities with the boys and of course Indiana's every changing fall weather. Probably will pass on the Covered Bridge Festival  this year. About all of the large flea markets near-by I perused for years no longer exist. Still lots of yard, garage and barn sales up and down US41 but navigating all the traffic has lost its luster.

BTW, Third consecutive Monday the boss @John Morrishas been missing. I'm beginning to suspect he's serving weekend detentions since he's unsupervised. Should we have a fund raiser for bail money?

Most of Friday morning was spent in an oral surgeon's chair. Had a lower molar cut out...in pieces. The rest of Friday was spent in my easy chair with a supply of Tylenol at the ready. Saturday, I got a few more toy patterns cut and sanded. Sunday was a day off. Hard to pass on that OT pay, though.;) Today is shop clean up and organizing. Severe ADD makes it difficult to stay on task today.... well, every day if the truth were known. :PullingHair:

Morris is our carousing with Newman, no doubt. Weather was so miserable here nothing outside. I've decided to upgrade my old Leigh D4 with the kit that makes it a D4 pro (I guess). All this kit does is make it possible to cut single pass 1/2 blind DTs. You do need to drill a precisely located hole into each jig finger (or buy new ones) so I built a jig to hold them in position while I drilled them out.

Started the 2m/70cm antenna install.  Still waiting on parts to run the coax into the "shack"...lightening arrestor, more coax, bulkhead connector.  I used a small spindle blank for a spacer.  :)  Turned chilly today.  After months of 110 in the shade, 50 seems cold.

Looks like you might need a guy wire opposite that long wire antenna.

In the works...sort of.  Planning to replace the 60' end-fed wire with an 82' multiband (10m - 80m) dipole, 41' either side of the mast.  Have to trim/remove a smallish tree for it to fit.  As it turns out, I have a chainsaw :BugEyeSmiley:

:ChinScratch: Wonder if I can get this mess cleaned up by the time SWMBO gets home tomorrow afternoon?

Weekend was spent searching for a used pickup to replace my Ford Transit Connect Van.  Has to be a 2 door with a 6' bed to fit in my garage.  The web can find a few that fit and are in my price range, but none are within 200 miles of me.  Rather get a classic RAM 1500 than a Ford 150 XL.  Not sure about Chevy or GM versions. Prefer a 6cyl over an 8cyl. Prefer 4wd but will settle for RWD.  Responses are all eager to help me out until they realize they aren't local to me.  When I bought my Chevy Bolt it came from a dealer 300 miles away and he was so eager for my sale he delivered it to my house.   Of course I'm looking for a used truck.   Clearly not so much enthusiasm or pressure to get my money on them.

Had some success with auction #1 last night. A few tools but most brought 2-4x what they're really worth. PU tomorrow afternoon. Auction #2 closes tonight.

In between, headed out for ~5hr round trip to take granddaughter back to campus. Tough on me but nice break and visit with her. She'll be back for another swim meet locally just before Thanksgiving. It's a 3 day event.
