Weekend Saturday went to meet daughter for lunch and of course her and the wife had to do some 'shopping.' Got home late. Had started a halloween gift for a friend on the CNC. So Sunday got the second pour on that. Made homemade pizzas on the grill. Went to in-laws. Monday was on a plane for Columbia Mo at 0530.

Back home. Whew 7-1/2 hours; I'm pooped. Got gas for $3.05/gal there though. Stopped at a very good Asian Buffett but I'm hungry again:P. Then a stop at Payless (aka Krogers) to stock up for boys. They eat alot😂

Sounds like Highway robbery to me. 2.88 at Sam's last week.

Hi peeps, it's been a while. The closest to woodworking I've done in the past few weeks was moving a deck, shed, shed platform, and building a new shed platform at our seasonal campsite. about 3 weeks ago we made an impulse buy of 42 foot destination camper so we've been tied up in moving that to our site.
also no that the fall season is upon us I discovered that when I rewired our shop this summer I overlooked connecting a power supply to one very important piece of equipment. the shop furnace. I'm guessing that's my next job!!!

Probably will pass on the Covered Bridge Festival  this year.

Holy cow Dave, y'all must have half the covered bridges left in the country!  I would love to tour and look at all those bridges.  Unfortunately for me, the west side of Indiana is a long way from anywhere I ever find myself!

:ChinScratch: Forgot to mention, part of my clean up involved trying to get the boxes of old (1930's-40's) Delta machine parts together in one area.

I found stuff I didn't remember having.

Hackberry down.  Hired some local folks looking for work to take care of this.

Still making videos, taking photos, writing instructions, trying to remember if I ate today, and waiting for a dealership to get back to me with a sale's quote on a 2018 Ram Classic 1500 Express.  Regular cab, 6' bed, 6cyl engine, and fire engine red.  Something I can use to haul hardwood lumber and furniture in.

Sadly, I've seen most but not all of them that are listed even though most are within a couple hours of us. It truly takes a full day of driving to visit all of them.

A few have had to be reconstructed in recent years due to vandals and thugs trying to burn them down. However good folks rose to the occasion contributing $$$'s, material, resources and time to rebuild.

Our county still has managed to keep and maintain two. Truly very picturesque especially in the fall.

In the heyday of this festival, it was estimated 1.5-2M visitors would trek to Park County during the 10 day run. Tour busses by the droves would arrive from out of state. A real economic boost to a primarily small population, rural, agricultural based area.
