Yep.  That trend was a conflict topic of our furniture design course sequence.  Ready made legs for furniture.  Students that noticed that occasionally would design backward to make a table using available legs, rather than come up with a complete original design. 

I personally have no conflict about buying rather than making legs if what is available will compliment my designs.  I've even shown a student or two that hairpin legs they drew up as legs for their project were already available in many heights.  If they wanted to make their own we had that capability, but if they could find a match or something close to their design and could afford to buy them they they should. 

 

The one's you found for the tables look good in composition with the beautiful wood tops.  Nicely done so throw a compliment to your wife.

Thanks 4D. I feel the same. I honestly have not built any decorative legs. I am sure I could after I screwed a few of them up. With traveling 4+ days a week I just don’t have a lot of time. I’ll pass it along
