lew Posted March 2, 2023 Report Posted March 2, 2023 It was either @FlGatorwood or @Gunny who added a timer to their charging station to help with the possibility of overheating. I have been looking for a manual timer/switch for mine. Right now the timer I have repeats every 24 hours. Want one that shuts off after a predetermined time and must be manually restarted Cal and Grandpadave52 2 Quote
Gerald Posted March 3, 2023 Report Posted March 3, 2023 (edited) @lewThis may be why you cannot find that single use timer. Looks industrial. https://store.tremtech.com/altronix-single-channel-annual-event-timer/ Found one , called a shut off timer . This one is only 60 minutes. https://www.amazon.com/SIMPLE-Shut-Off-Safety-Outlet-Countdown/dp/B07Z87J849/ref=asc_df_B07Z87J849/?tag=&linkCode=df0&hvadid=385339487732&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9039289669024730167&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9013876&hvtargid=pla-835694851602&ref=&adgrpid=78829232136&th=1 this one up to 8 hour https://www.amazon.com/Teklectric-Curling-Straightener-Countdown-Conserve/dp/B01KKOJ42U?psc=1&pd_rd_w=YVXrD&content-id=amzn1.sym.56b6d1e1-8781-4e32-a7bc-5298ad4b88ac&pf_rd_p=56b6d1e1-8781-4e32-a7bc-5298ad4b88ac&pf_rd_r=BCXJJJSJD07DP56YBJDZ&pd_rd_wg=75e8L&pd_rd_r=d6679045-8ba6-4899-ab4d-e4fabe18df0c&ref_=sspa_dk_detail_0&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExSThYQVExN0M4UldMJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDQwMzQ5MjNEQ1o5U043UlRRMiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzE0NDIyMzNIQUVQWVNVV0NDNiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbF90aGVtYXRpYyZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= Edited March 3, 2023 by Gerald Grandpadave52, lew and Cal 1 2 Quote

Tool companies need to come up with a battery tender like they have for vehicle batteries. lew, Cal and Grandpadave52 3 Quote
