December 31, 20223 yr Author Popular Post Did manage to find the charcoal, steaks on the grill, homemade potato salad, homemade pasta salad yesterday. Buddy from the working days called this morning, mentioned to him about Stepsons clutch, and brakes needing work. When I told him it's an 08 Cobalt he asked "Front wheel drive"? I told him yes, Mark said "Bring it by and use the lift".
January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post The automatic gate work has been completed and works like a charm. Thanks to our JOAT son. It's going to be really nice to not need to get out of the vehicle, open the gate, drive through and get out again and close it. Just push a button on a Keychain fob. It's got a 600' range so we can open it from the road as we're driving up. Edited January 1, 20233 yr by Gene Howe
January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post Process the pecan logs into blanks along with a small ash crotch. The pecan is spalted but not yet punky. Looks like some will have some nice figure. I evicted several bark beetles and their larvae when removing the bark. Don't need that trouble around our living pecan trees. Those that survived the air hammer bark removal were maximumly demoted. .40
January 1, 20233 yr Anyone have a suggestion for a ROS sander? Have an older Dewalt 421. Works okay but would like another one.
January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post I use the Dewalt 5” and they have served me well. Well it’s been an interesting weekend already. Rained pretty good here last night. Sunny today. Yesterday was help the neighbor remove his wood flooring. He had lots of help but lacked the saw to cut around the cabinets so I did that for him. Today it’s dinner at the Peraults ( StaticLV and his lovely wife Diana). Happy New Year everyone ! Paul
January 1, 20233 yr Popular Post I thought my Bosch 3725 dies a few eeks ago so I ordered the newer version of the same...the GEX-33 5N. This is a handled sander so may not be what you're after. But my 3725 was at least 20 years old, and I hope the newer one lasts as long. BTW, after I ordered the Gex-33, I took the old apart and reassembled. I didn't find anything wrong but after i put it back together it starting working again. I kept the newer one anyway, I don't expect the older one to last forever.
