Friday November 25th 2022-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday the day after Thanksgiving Folks, is anybody else moving slow today?

The wife and I went to the stepsons for the feast, and we're both overstuffed.

:throbbinghead:

Wife just asked if I want anything for breakfast. :WhoMe:

Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" it's the ongoing battle with getting the GM Tech2 configured properly.

I Found a little over 2 1/2 hour training video I'll try watching today, hopefully it explains what the manuals/guides don't.

:ChinScratch: So, What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Recovery! Ate too much yesterday, I'll have to starve myself the rest of the weekend to lose the extra #. Aside from that, Marie has a medical appt. today as well as Monday, so those 2 days are committed. In between I'll be trying to figure out what to dow th all the left overs from the feast, most of them will be packaged and frozen for future use.

Enjoyed day two of my 4-day weekend by taking pain pill last night and sleeping in till 1030 this morning.  Rested, well fed from yesterday till at least tomorrow, and pain free for couple days.  I am headed to shop after a brief supply run.

Hope Marie's appointments are beneficial.

We had The Meal at our son and DIL's place. Brought home a few dishes of remnants. Pretty sure most will get stored in the freezer. Hope Phyl saves back some white meat for bacon and turkey sandwiches.

With the festivities and all the prep therfore, are over for a month, shop time is taking precedence for a while. About got the last two mesquite table rounds finished. Counting cure time, they should be ready for assembly in a couple days. Then, it's on to a redwood landing to replace the concrete and unhandy front door steps. The front door's security screen opens out and, one must step backwards off the present steps to open it. So, the new landing will be about 5' deep and maybe 6' wide. Phyl says it needs to accommodate a wheel chair and future ramp.

Good start to yesterday as oldest granddaughter made it home. End of the day was blessed as well. A bit scary and apprehensive at start of meal time.

Somehow my daughter became choked by a small piece of turkey skin. Thankfully she never aspirated but couldn't get the piece to dislodge. SIL hurried her off to local ER (couple miles from their place). Treated her with high volume of some sort of high glucose drink. Next step was to transfer her where a GI doctor was located. Anyways, glucose treatment was successful. Their 1P meal was reheated about 6P.

Oldest granddaughter here until later tomorrow, youngest goes back Sunday PM. P0520 code showed up on wife's Jeep. Low/hi engine oil pressure switch/circuit. All likelihood bad sending unit. Common Chrysler problem. I replaced similar on her old '05 4.7L at least 4x. Thankful hers has the 5.7L Hemi vs 3.6L. 3.6L you have to remove lots of parts including intake manifold. On the Hemi, 15 minute job tops if you have a lift. Wish I had a lift.

As for the next episode of "Buick Enclave, Where Art Thou?", well it's back on the dealers lot after spending 4+ weeks at a no repair, repair facility. Dealer blathered something about getting started on it today (after telling me a week ago Monday he would start on it last Friday). Didn't hear any more of what he said, as I just turned around, walked out the door. Didn't want to spend Thanksgiving in jail.

 I left the one I put in for my mom, figured I'd need it sooner or later. Comes in handy when using a dolly.

So the day after Turkey Day is one of our holidays. I took Tuesday as a vacation day, giving me a nice 6 day vacation. Our son is on call this week, can’t leave the town, or a 20 mile radius from work. So we had our Thanksgiving at the MIL’s on Veterans Day. We bought some cold cuts and the like and had a very relaxing, no pressure Thanksgiving this year. Our son came over, we watched some football, talked and had a good day. (Other than I was rooting for the teams that lost, like usual) today  (Friday) took care of the normal household chores, and  right now it’s 2:14 am Saturday morning, and I’m waiting to take a shower, and then head up to Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit Maine, for some low tide, sunrise detecting. I have low expectations of any finds worth posting, but I haven’t seen a beach sunrise in a couple of 3 months, so I need this. Plus I did pig out while watching all the football, so 3 hours of walking the beach will be a good thing.

Not a whole lot doing down here.  Did have a great Thanksgiving, lots of company.  We ate a bit earlier than usual (1 PM vs 3 or 4), so everyone was pretty much gone by dark.

Yesterday was a pretty steady drizzle/light rain and coolish until mid afternoon.  I spent most of the day alternating between the walking machine while watching a couple college games and on the computer doing Black Friday shopping.

Today is a couple more college football games.  Rivalry week - it has been pretty fun to watch.  Georgia plays at noon, Go Dawgs!

Survived TDay and BDay.  Shop day today.  Sold a ton of stuff online that I need to replenish.  Might catch the Norte Dame vs. SoCal game later.

Got enough left overs to keep us in ham and cheese as well as turkey and bacon sandwiches for several days. :TwoThumbsUp:unfortunately, the pies are all gone.:(

Been sanding mesquite rounds since 04:00. Three grits to go then, a break while the shop heater gets it warm enough to make another resin pour. Tomorrow's pour should be the final one. Getting closer to the finish line. AT LAST! Phyl has put her order in for two more rounds for end tables. But, the front steps come first. I was hoping to fire up the scroll saw. Looks like that'll have to wait. Oh well...
