My new old truck gets about 8 miles per gallon Gramps, hmmm, and it tops out at 60 on the fwy, I may make it back to CA before it melts, but the trip would sure be worth it!

November 12, 20223 yr Popular Post Was one of those days, today....no motivation, no shoptime....just sit and watch football games all day....and trying NOT to look outside.... Old Wives' Tale Department: On the day of the 1st trackable snow, where it is deep enough to leave tracks....look at the calender....whatever date that day fell on,,,that is supposed to be the number of the trackable snows for the season......Looks like we will be getting...12 more. Why couldn't it have waited until 2 DEC 2022?

November 14, 20223 yr Popular Post This weekend was one for the books. Mrs Static was out of town for her friend’s wedding so I got to play with the pups and spend some time in the shop. It has been in the high 30s low 40s this weekend and the shop hasn’t dipped below 60* yet so it has been pleasant to work out there and get some progress on the patio furniture. This is the test fit of the sofa. Wanted to make sure the back angle will work with the designated cushions. The good news is that it is approved, pretty comfortable, and at this point, just need to attach the back, finish sanding and apply the finish and this one will be done.
November 14, 20223 yr Definitely a keeper Michael. Great functional, clean design. I predict a nap in your furniture 'er future.

November 14, 20223 yr Popular Post Yep no more trips to Lowe’s without supervision and a tool in the cart

Helps the throat feel better and breaks up that chest congestion. Might take a few doses, though. It's palliative rather than curative. But, you won't care, after awhile. I guy I used to work with said he always kept a bottle off "Medicinal Bourbon." I don't think he drank much because one of his jobs as a kid was to fetch his grandpa from the bar and help him home.

I see a Shopsmith 510 (or 520?) in the background!
November 14, 20223 yr We had a great Craft Studio tour this weekend, it's like a town wide yard sale only the tour was all crafters. And even thru the weather was bit on the stretchy side we had a great turn out of open wallets.
