T hours. Frost should be off by then;)

Did you move further North and not tell us?:cowboy:

Gave up on my workbench of 20 years today.  I've been patching and repairing it for nearly that long.  Cranked the vise down on a bowl blank and broke the cast iron where the slide attaches to the bench.

Enough is enough ordered a Sjoberg's Scandi+ with a cabinet.  Dropping down to a 4' bench will make a bit more room in my tiny shop.

:ChinScratch:So, what was it? :WonderScratch:

 We promise, we'll only laugh with you, not at you! :D

i tried the self sharpening of blades, found my time was must more valuable having someone else do it, and a fine job they do, i did ok, just no longevity to my sharpening, i do however dress router bits, and occassional band saw blade, if still on saw and i'm resawing, not the greatest , but will usually get me thru the task.

i used to make knives, and my struggle was always getting scarey sharp, have a buddy who makes it look so easy, i just don't have the ''nack'' for it.

so i let those that excel in it assist me in success.

happy sunday

Tim time for some hummer watching . BE214A79-CF07-4EE7-901F-519C8DDF9CD9.jpeg.a53e1a0a26c995d8fe36631bfe075537.jpeg1C1581EF-BF45-47EF-96BC-9D7A53F02FBC.jpeg.ade2e5ac3d69936b623dce2cbaa685c8.jpeg

have another shot in the leaves but he is very hard to see with head facing away. Had three fighting today. Usually no more than two.

I didn't get a feeder put up for them this year :(  We were simply gone too much.  I do like to watch the hummers and butterflies hit the lantana at this time of the year though.  Yesterday I spotted a small white butterfly on the driveway but it flew off before I could get my phone out for a pic.  It was not a butterfly I had seen before.

I did snap this pic yesterday of a black swallowtail, it was huge :)
