August 1, 20223 yr yeah, this is the one of many we've endured living here for almost 30 years, one year the water jumped the wash at the turn and came into the back half acre, i was up all nite putting up scaffold boards around patio to keep it out of house, i moved a couple tons of qtr minus granite to hold boards in place, now i have access to sand bags, but did manage to re work my fence at the wash so it can't get into yard ever again. sideways rain, most folks have never seen it, monsoon is beautiful, but can be destructive, part of living in desert i guess, beats moving snow, i did live in South bend In one year and wowza, snow a hole deep to a giraffe, while i did go to boarding school in N. In, i never had to deal with it other than trying to get around in it. anyways, me no likey the cold, ole desert dweller and loving it rj in az

My fondness for snow left the building a long time ago. It wouldn't be so bad if it was 70° outside when it snowed. We've had some doozy rains too over the years. Fortunately most of our property is higher ground so no flooding. My heart goes out to those folks in Eastern, Appalachia, Kentucky right now. Terrible.
