 Not sure about where you're at, but it's Friday again here "Two Weeks From Anywhere". ;)

:ChinScratch:Those weather forecasters are calling for a nice weekend here :TwoThumbsUp:before the heat/humidity return next week. :(

:Tapping: Still trying to drag the neighbor into the 21st Century, every time I mention setting up the computer for him he gets a panicked  look on his face and says not now, I've got you for looking stuff up. <_<

:throbbinghead:

Guess I'll have to sneak  it in on him! :P

So, if it's Friday where you're at, What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Well, just as an aside, 46 years ago my first child was born.  Someone told me a few weeks before, "Before you leave for the hospital, take a look around your home because it will never be the same again."   Truer words never spoken.

True that!

We had twin boys, also now in their 40s. We'll never forget the one morning, when they were 3, we slept in and they got up and found the new 5 lb. bucket of peanut butter. By the time we got out of bed, they had smeared it all over every piece of furniture in the kitchen, dining room and living room. Needless to say, their mother was highly perturbed. I thought it was funny as he!!. Thank goodness, we had a friend in the carpet cleaning business. :throbbinghead:

Happy anniversary to you both Kevin. Prayers for safe travels, plenty of R&R and embrace the history and memories to be created.

Not much happening on the poor farm. Wife was off work today. Ran a bunch of errands. Need to change oil/filter/service oldest granddaughters car. Kicking around the idea of mowing; shaggy looking in places. Still cleaning, reconditioning tools from auctions this past spring; work on them a few minutes here and there. Will see what shiney objects attract or distract my attention span...oh look a squirrel. Church responsibilities Sunday.

Been a good week so far. Got back from son's in Asheville Tuesday. Called the stump grinder and he was finishing another job so came right over and knocked out 3 Cedar and one large Oak stump. Boy did that leave a pile of chips and too hot to do it all except the Cedar was still in shade , so raked it . Worked the last two days moving a cabinet in the shop to make more room at my burning/carving/coloring workstation.

So tomorrow will begin work on handles for screwdrivers, firestarters and seam rippers for the upcoming season.

Thank you! My daughter is planning a couple hikes for her and I in Acadia National Park so that will be fun. I am looking forward to Lobster fest in Rockland Maine. 🦞🦞

Today chores await, after that I hope to get some decent time out in the shop to continue working on a number of projects.

Tis the season here too. Extremely dry conditions only compound it. Even as dry as it is, the weeds are flourishing so there's that too. Even the cats and dog are sneezing.

Not sure if it's weeds, trees or mold after the rains we had.  Weather forecast says all three are high today. :Tapping:

Progress has been made on the workbench today and I am pretty happy with the results.

Saturday, our son's and families visited for lunch and a nice long visit. Today, it's back at Limbert table legs. They're all about ready for router trimming.

got a few things accomplished this weekend, so far, bit more of the dust collection system up, used some epoxy to fill some of the gals boards, she sanded quite a few, she has a bit more sanding today and she can throw'm in the oil bath,

we got hammered with a huge ugly storm last nite, i live next to a wash, it overflowed into my back half acre and make a grand canyon path to the front half, so gonna do some wheel barrow work this am, gotta fill it so the golf cart can get to shop, she likes her ride, lol.

tryin to cut a deal on a few sheets of 3/4 ply so i can make some cabinets for the chop saw and storage, want to get rid of the wire shelving in shop.

still have lotsa little things to get squared away, made some pcs to put in a pre filter for the mini split blower heads, pretty simple, gonna try and complete today if i survive the wheel barrow work, ugh, made mistake way back when a youngster and volunteered to drive truck in basic, hehe, boy howdy,   learned real quick a ''truck'' there was a wheel barrow, with steel wheels. taught me a thing or two

happy sunday, now gonna jet to the donut shop and get me a ''fritter''

You must've got that rain we had at about 14:00. Thank goodness, we're on flat land. The washes north us were running full. Some roads were closed for a spell. The "Don't Drown...Turn around" signs we're out.

here is a few pictures, one is from my front window showing water coming off roof, it rained for three hours like this, the next one a shot down my driveway looking into street you can see the retaining wall across from me, its over 32inches tall above curb which is at least 6 inches, and then one from edge of my drive way you can see my library cabinet on left, which you can see the the white roof in the drive way pic, it s picture of wash after rain stopped. went on for hours.

ole gal and i spent three hours cleaning up street infront of our house, driveway area and i filled my 7x12 dump trailer with tree limbs that were trashed.

i still have to fix the grand canyon at my back to shop driveway, water created a nice one.

happy sunday great day to be here
