June 11, 20224 yr wrapped up door project #2 of 3 this morning. need to get the last set painted this week, and then find a day to swap them out, perhaps next weekend, depending on how my wife is feeling/doing. (fighting cancer).
June 11, 20224 yr Popular Post Well that was actually was easier to build and works better than expected. The new dual edge guide mortising jig is completed and works great. With the single edge guide, this was a good deal more difficult than it needed to be. The dual edge guide jig doesn’t interfere with plunge depth or micro adjustment capability of the edge guide and can support 6” wide material. All in all I count this one a win.
June 11, 20224 yr Popular Post Sweet morise jig, Michael. Today is our 52nd Anniversary. Sons and families came over and fixed us a meal. Dessert is yet to be served. Some sort of chocolate Cheesecake. Tomorrow is a shop day, starting at 04:00 when it's like only 80°.
June 12, 20224 yr Popular Post Enjoyed a beautiful day yesterday with my brothers and sisters. I won't be able top that for a few weekends to come.

June 13, 20224 yr Popular Post Two of local three granddaughters in a musical this weekend, and my daughter was executive producer. One show Friday, two Saturday and matinee Sunday. Helped a bit on set on Saturday and tear-down after show Sunday. Had over 2000 attendees. https://www.actingup.com/current-show.html
June 13, 20224 yr Popular Post I've been wanting a lighter saw, maybe a "basement" saw. But this came up in the mean time. Yesterday on CL $100, a garage-find, a real mess. Got it for $60 and spent an hour cleaning it up. 3HP, quiet, smooth. 15 AMP, 5,000 RMP no-load.

Believe it or not, the two on left and right are twins. Front row are two sisters from out of town that came in for the show.

The piece I made for the local community theater is being used in “The Little Mermaid”. The kids and mom next door all are in it.
