Great buy , I am sure she will do well with it. Maybe even turn a table or stool leg or two.

Thanks for the information.  Glad to hear you like yours.  I debated if I might be getting a bit ahead of myself but when I got the spindle shaft out, the pulley end bearing was indeed showing some play and roughness.  The Spur end was not nearly as bad.  It appears that one bearing was probably changed in the past as the two bearings I found are by different manufacturers.  I suspect the New Departure bearing to be original to the lathe and the MRC to be a replacement.

And the new shiny Bearings are in.  That was the easy part.  Finding her a spot in the shop, not so easy.  We are getting closer.  This is already turning out to be a nice smaller machine.  If she doesn’t fully embrace the hobby, I have a decent second lathe for the shop.

She can turn to her hearts content now.  I have a spare head stock if you would need it.  I removed the shaft and bearings and used them in another project.  My lathe is the Yellow version.  Same lathe same model number just a few changes.

The motor on mine had the internal wiring to run it either direction so I wired in a double pole double throw switch to it to make give it reverse capabilities.  I also upgraded the tool rest holder.  Bought one on E-Bay from a Delta midi lathe so it now has lever lock.

Thank you and I will keep this in mind. Appreciate the pictures for comparison.  I see the tail stock on yours has what appears to be lever lock as well.  I may keep my eyes open as that would be a “nice to have” option for her, especially for the tool rest.  My budget for this project is about taxed out for the moment but I will upgrade her with the right opportunity.  Appreciate it.
