We're all interested in how she's doing up there at the language school.

Hope she's doing better than "Me, Myself, & I" still trying to master English.

Only been at it for 63+ years. :OldManSmiley:

X2!

Monday! Ugh, ugh!  Got 3 hours of sleep, she woke me about 0315.  Gagging, grumping, trying to communicate with more than a jungle moan.  I finally figured out in my sleepy noggin that she wanted to barf.  Time to call that imfamous number.  So showered and put on clean clothes as this was going to be a very long day.  Firetrucks and ambulance came.  Ambulance had on shoes that looked as if he had been in the swamps deer hunting.  Rather than bring the stretcher into the bedroom, they decided to carry her to the stretcher.  So, that ambulance driver walks his nasty shoes all up on my bed leaving sand and whatever else transferred from his shoes.  While they were getting her situated on the stretcher, I snatched off those sheets.  So, they took her to the ER.  After almost 2 hours, they allowed me back to see her.  Later they admitted her for lung problems.  They did swallow test yesterday, sucked the fluid from her lungs.  She is on oxygen and nebulizer.  She now has a little device which I don't know how to spell.  She has to blow in it to a goal before she can come home.  Still not eating.  When you tell them that you are vegetarian, they give that blank stare.  LOL   All food now has to be ground because of dysphagia.  But, she can hardly wait to get home to my cooking.  I know she is receiving the best treatment, but I can't convince her.  We'll see what happens.

But, got the back yard completely mowed, shrubbery cut and piled by the street for pickup, turned the smoke stack and water inlet for the steam engine.  I have read have of a book.  Sitting at the hospital while she sleeps is boring.  :D

@FlGatorwood sure hope this works for y'all. Praying all will be good. By the way that thing you blow into is a spirometer and it is to measure lung capacity.

Just got home from Disney trip last week. Yes great fun except for the cancelled flight on the way home and a night waiting for next flight.  Spent Monday and Tuesday putting out a pallet of sod and was moving very slow last night. May be back to normal tomorrow.

Spent day at Mother’s. Got another toolbox emptied (1 of 3). Sorted a good bit of stuff out. Absorbed some into what will be the main toolbox. Dad had 50 C clamps of various sizes, made holders for them so those are put away. Rest of the stuff is on the work table. Mother will work on sorting it out in bins for me for next weeks fun. Had to take down the remaining dog pen so 6 trees can be cut down in upcoming weeks. Also had to take down two light poles so those are also not in the way.

Mother had ordered a dump truck full of topsoil, 2 weeks ago from a local. No show ever and always an excuse. So I went down to the office. His first answer to my request for a refund or delivery today was no. Further he informed me he would get to it when and if he had time. It was then I noticed he had a USMC plaque on his wall and inquired if he had earned the title. To which he rolled up his sleeve to show his USMC tattoo and told me he was in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines and would kick my @$$. I nodded then rolled up my own sleeve revealing my tattoo. Then rattled off my unit designator and rank and asked if he required a demonstration of my particular skillset. Suddenly the attitude and some life drained from his face as he tried to get out an apology.

Left the place with a refund, and he told me just call next Wednesday when I am on my way to Mother’s so he can drop off the dirt.

No charge.. Imagine that?

By the time I got home Mother had sent me a text message saying the guy had called and apologized to her for the inconvenience.

Hope you post a picture of the cross stitch when it's finished.

I don't think there are any indigenous people in the northern  part of the continent.  The Amerindians all came over the  bearing straight and down from Canada.

The S Americans were not inclined to travel north  for the freezing winters.

I do not believe the USA has any indigenous people at all.

There's probably only a select few places on earth whose peoples can rightly claim to be indigenous. The Americas aren't on the list. Us'ns are all migrants, regardless of our ancestral length of residence.

I lost this thread, but just found it.  Just wanted to express my appreciation for all of you for keeping us in your supportive thoughts and prayers.  It is very much appreciated.  I had to get into a couple doctors craw to get them off top dead center.  Sometimes, you have to advocate for your family members.  And, then we didn't get any feedback until today.  A letter came that stated that she has some inflammation in her stomach which was also coming back into her lungs.  So, we have an appointment with our primary care in a couple of weeks.  Going to give the letter to him.  Will see what course of action he recommends.  As of now, we have this oxygen concentrator with some oxygen bottles when we go out and a hospital bed to keep her elevated.  And, she is eating better.  Just a little but I'll take each step no matter how small.  So thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers.

Keep moving.
